Childcare - provide activities such as sports, arts and crafts, reading programs, carnivals, etc. for children of all ages
Donation Sorting - sort donations of food, clothing, toys, household items
Indoor fix-up/clean-up - paint, wallpaper, clean the kitchen and more
Life skills - lead small group sessions on a variety of sessions including job search, resume writing, budgeting, makeovers
Meal preparation - prepare breakfast lunch or dinner
Outdoor fix-up/clean-up - landscaping, washing windows, raking gravel, refinishing wood benches, repairing playground equipment
Special Events/Holidays - organize a fun and festive event for the families in our programs such as Harvest Festival, Winter Carnival, Spring events and more

Childcare
Faith House Domestic Violence Shelter - Glendale
The Childcare is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am7:30 pm. Groups are needed to help primarily on Monday-Thursday from 6:30-8:30 pm.
La Mesita Homeless Family Shelter - Mesa
Groups are needed to provide activities such as table games, sports, arts & crafts, reading programs, carnivals, etc. for children ages 6-13. Groups are needed to help primarily on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:30 pm and Thursday evenings from 6:00-9:00 pm. In addition, La Mesita’s afterschool program runs from 3:30 - 6:30 pm and always welcomes volunteer help.

Autumn House Domestic Violence Shelter - Mesa
Day, evening and weekend hours are flexible with a minimum 2-hour shift. The minimum age is 18 years old.
Faith House - Glendale
Day, evening and weekend hours are flexible with a minimum 2-hour shift. The minimum age is 18 years old.
La Mesita Homeless Family Shelter - Mesa
Day, evening and weekend hours are flexible with a minimum 2-hour shift. The minimum age is 18 years old.
General Store - Mesa
Groups are encouraged to come and help sort the many unique items donated for resale to help finance our shelter programs. Store hours are from Monday – Friday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Groups are encouraged to come up with recreational activities for boys, ages 12-17. Sports, arts & crafts, and BBQs are some sample activities.

Weekend Social Activities - Provide group entertainment for children and moms. Outside activities, mini carnivals, BBQs, ice cream socials, reading programs, puppet shows, music programs, etc. Average group size is 35-40.
Homestead Residence - Mesa
Groups are encouraged to come up with recreational and social activities for girls ages 12-17. Games, Sports, cooking, arts & crafts, BBQs and ice cream socials are some sample activities.
La Mesita Homeless Family Shelter - Mesa
Weekend Social Activities - Provide group entertainment for children of homeless families. Outside activities, mini carnivals, BBQs, ice cream socials, reading programs, puppet shows, music programs, etc. Average group size is 55-60.
