Autumn House Domestic Violence Shelter - Mesa
Assist with general clerical work. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
DV Stop - (Mesa)
Answer incoming calls, provide referrals, relay messages, and set up hotels/motels and transportation. Minimum age 18. Wednesday mornings from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm to answer phones during staff meetings; Thursday afternoons and Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Dorothy B. Mitchell Counseling Center - Mesa
Review old intake packets, file documents, make phone calls to clients and complete discharge paperwork. Flexible days, Monday –Friday, from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Faith House Domestic Violence Shelter - Glendale
Assist with general clerical work, Monday-Friday.
Homestead Residence - Mesa
General filing and creation of client files, Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
La Mesita Homeless Family Shelter - Mesa
Answer phones and assist the public and clients with daily needs. Cover for the staff during meetings, lunches, etc. Monday and Friday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and Tuesday from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Mayfield Youth Alternative Center - Mesa
Assist staff with intake process, filing, and contacting clients. Assist police officers, counselors, parents and clients iwith respite care program. Weekdays, evenings, and weekend shifts available.
West Side Social Services - Glendale, Peoria, Avondale

Childcare
Autumn House Domestic Violence Shelter - Mesa
Work with children age infant to 3 years to allow mothers to attend counseling on site. Minimum age of 18. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm.
Faith House Domestic Violence Shelter - Glendale
The Childcare is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 am - 7:30 pm. Individuals are needed to help primarily on Monday-Thursday from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
Homestead Residence - Mesa
Assist girls ages 12-17 in homework, reading and math skills improvement. Minimum age 21.
La Mesita Homeless Family Shelter - Mesa
Groups are needed to provide activities such as table games, sports, arts & crafts, reading programs, carnivals, etc. for children ages 6-13. Groups are needed primarily on Wednesday evenings 6:00 - 8:30 pm and Thursday evenings 6:00 - 9:00 pm. In addition, La Mesita’s after-school program runs from 3:30 - 6:30 pm and always welcomes volunteer help.
Mayfield Youth Alternative Center - Mesa
Playing games, watching movies, doing arts & crafts activities, serving meals and general mentoring of youth. Friday 5:00 - 10:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, and Sunday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm are the times the program is in operation.
Residential Centers For Boys - Mesa
Recreational activities, tutoring, etc. Under Staff supervision. Evenings 6:30 -8:00 pm. Weekends afternoons and evenings. Minimum age 21.

General Store - Mesa
Groups are encouraged to come and help sort the many unique items donated for resale to help finance our shelter programs. Store hours are from Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday, 9:30 am - 5:00 pm.
Indoor fix-up/clean-up
Help the housekeeping supervisor prepare rooms for new arrivals by cleaning and restocking household items and food. Location, days and hours may vary.
Life skills
If you have special skills, abilities or talents that might be useful to our programs, please consider sharing your gifts with us. We welcome new and exciting ideas.

Plan and prepare breakfast lunch or dinner on the weekends. Groups are encouraged to donate the food as well.

Special Events/Holidays
Special Events Coordinator - Will work with groups coming on site to coordinate volunteer activities and projects. Some evenings and mostly Saturdays. Will work closely with the Volunteer Specialist and Program Coordinator.
